شو في نيوز - تحت رعاية سمو الأمير الحسن بن طلال، تقدّم جمعية أصدقاء مهرجانات الأردن بالتعاون مع المعهد الملكي للدراسات الدينية معرض الصور الفوتوغرافية وإطلاق كتاب "غزّة، بوابة العرب إلى المتوسط: ذاكرة وفن".
ويضم المعرض يضم صورًا فوتوغرافية أرشيفية نادرة توثق الحياة اليومية في غزة، إضافة إلى صور للاكتشافات الأثرية التي نتجت عن أعمال البعثة الفرنسية الفلسطينية في غزة (١٩٩٥-٢٠١٩)، بمبادرة وتنسيق من الأب جان بابتيست همبرت، عالم الآثار الذي عمل في الشرق الأوسط لمدة ثلاثة وخمسين عاما.
وتعد غزّة واحدة من أقدم مدن الموانئ في البحر المتوسط، إذ شكلت على مدى سنوات ملتقىً للحضارات وفضاءً للازدهار.
ويعيد هذا المعرض استحضار تلك القصة، مقدّمًا غزّة لا من زاوية الصراع، بل من خلال الذاكرة، والتراث، واستمرارية الإنسان.
ويحول المعرض هنجر رأس العين إلى أرشيف حيّ، تتقاطع فيه الصور الفوتوغرافية النادرة عن الحياة اليومية والآثار لتروي قصة غزّة العمرانية والبحرية والروحية: معابدها، مرافئها، بيوتها، وأسواقها، والناس الذين شكّلوا روحها، فهي بوابة العرب إلى المتوسط، مدينةً للعبور والتلاقي والاستمرارية.
وفي هذا السياق، وصف الأب جان بابتيست همبرت المعرض قائلا: "إنه أشبه بومضات من الضوء، تكشف ما استطاعت غزة بناءه بفضل إرادتها القوية في البقاء. أصبحت صور الحياة اليومية ألبومًا ضخمًا لذاكرة الماضي، يزخر بوعد مستقبل سيولد رغم الحرب وآلام اليوم. حتى في ظلّ القيود، كانت غزة شجاعة وجميلة، نصفها حديقة ونصفها بحر."
ويترافق المعرض مع إطلاق كتاب فوتوغرافي يشكّل وثيقة دائمة لهذا الإرث، والذاكرة البصرية، ليكون جسرًا بين الماضي والحاضر. ويُخصَّص جزء من عائدات بيع الكتاب لدعم علاج اطفال غزة في مركز الحسين للسرطان في عمان.
قدِّم هذا المشروع من قبل جمعية أصدقاء مهرجانات الأردن، بالتعاون مع المعهد الملكي للدراسات الدينية، ودارة التصوير، وأمانة عمّان الكبرى، وبدعم من السفارة الفرنسية في عمّان والمعهد الفرنسي في عمّان، وبرعاية من جيني، وبشراكة إعلامية مع تلفزيون رؤيا ومزاج آف أم.

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal,
Friends of Jordan Festivals, in collaboration with the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies, presents the photography exhibition and book launch “Gaza: Arab Gateway to the Sea, Memory and Art.”
The exhibition features rare archival photographs documenting everyday life in Gaza, as well as images of archaeological discoveries resulting from the work of the French–Palestinian Archaeological Mission in Gaza (1995-2019), initiated and curated by Father Jean-Baptiste Humbert, an archaeologist who worked in the Middle East for fifty-three years.
Gaza is one of the oldest port cities on the Mediterranean, having long served as a meeting point of civilizations and a space of prosperity.
This exhibition revisits that story, presenting Gaza not through the lens of conflict, but through memory, heritage, and human continuity.
The exhibition transforms The Hangar, Ras al-Ain into a living archive, where photography and archaeology intersect to narrate Gaza’s urban, maritime, and spiritual history, its temples, ports, homes, markets, and the people who shaped its spirit. It is the Arab gateway to the Mediterranean: a city of passage, encounter, and continuity.
In this context, Father Jean-Baptiste Humbert describes the exhibition as follows:
“It is like flashes of light, revealing what Gaza was able to build through its powerful will to survive. Scenes of everyday life have become a vast album of memory, rich with the promise of a future yet to be born, despite the war and the pain of today. Even under constraint, Gaza was brave and beautiful-half garden, half sea.”
The exhibition is accompanied by the launch of a photographic book that serves as a lasting document of this heritage and visual memory, creating a bridge between the past and the present. A portion of the proceeds from the book’s sales will be dedicated to supporting the treatment of children from Gaza suffering from cancer at the King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan.
This project is presented by the Friends of Jordan Festivals, in collaboration with the Royal Institute for Interfaith Studies, Darat al Tasweer, and Greater Amman Municipality, with the support of the Embassy of France in Amman and the Institut Français de Jordanie, sponsored by Jeeny, and with media partnership from Roya TV and Mazaj FM.
